We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Manage food production processes, ensuring timely service and adherence to recipes.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to create innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends.
Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety practices, and equipment usage.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Provide exceptional hospitality by ensuring all dishes meet quality expectations before serving.
Experience
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong culinary skills with a background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising and managing a team.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
Previous experience in food production within a fast-paced setting is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
