Overview

We are seeking an experienced pub chef/kitchen manger to work in our local village pub. Must be able to work from a dedicated marstons spec menu. Must be experienced in all areas of the kitchen and have the relevant food safety qualifications. Must be able to work solo And unsupervised.Must have high standards of hygiene. Must be able to understand our food safety policy. Must be able to work weekends and evenings. This is a part time position of around 24hrs spread over 5 days

Supervise and coordinate all aspects of food production, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes. Lead, train, and manage kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and professional development. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet established standards. Implement and monitor food safety procedures in compliance with health regulations. Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs effectively Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times. Serve as a role model in hospitality and customer service, supporting front-of-house staff when necessary. Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and sanitation throughout the kitchen area.

Experience

Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary or hospitality environment. Extensive background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques. Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a professional kitchen setting. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with food service operations including serving procedures is advantageous. Leadership qualities combined with excellent organisational skills are essential for success in this role.
