Lakeside Park in North Somercotes requires an experienced full time and permanent Chef/Kitchen manager for their busy Waterfront clubhouse.
This can be a fast-paced position and involves working weekends and bank holidays from March until December but benefits from an extended winter break that includes Christmas and New Year.
The ideal successful candidate will have mass catering experience and be well versed in food safety management such as SFBB and have experience in managing kitchen and waiting teams.
Job duties include
Developing the existing menu and weekly specials
Being responsible for health and safety in the kitchen and food hygiene standards and records to maintain our five-star rating.
Managing stock control, food costs and reducing waste.
Managing the weekly catering staff rota.
Producing consistently good food in a timely manner.
Liaising with the club management and Directors to insure the smooth running of the department.
Implementing and maintaining HACCP procedures and documentation including allergen information.
What we are looking for
A minimum of 4 years' experience in a kitchen role in a similar busy potentially high volume operation.
Strong knowledge of Kitchen management, compliance, and financial control.
A team player who also can work independently.
Excellent communication skills who can lead a team.
Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends and some bank holidays.
