, an established Italian cafe and wine bar in London, is looking for a

versatile and passionate Pastry Chef

with experience in

sweet, savoury, and wine bar-style dishes

to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare and produce high-quality

sweet and savoury items

, including desserts, cakes, baked goods, and light savoury dishes Prepare

wine bar dishes

such as sharing plates, small bites, and Italian-style appetisers Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all products Contribute to menu development for both cafe and wine bar offerings Manage daily production and stock control Maintain high hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP)

Requirements



Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role covering

sweet, savoury, and wine bar food

Strong knowledge of traditional and modern pastry techniques Ability to prepare

small plates and appetisers suitable for a wine bar environment

Passion for artisanal Italian food and attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Team player with a positive attitude Basic to intermediate English required Right to work in the UK

Duties



Prepare and produce a wide range of pastries, including cakes, tarts, eclairs, and other baked goods Follow recipes accurately whilst maintaining high standards of quality and presentation Assist in food preparation and ensure all ingredients are stored correctly according to food safety regulations Operate baking equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety standards Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry section and work area at all times Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during busy periods Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing Innovate new pastry ideas to enhance the menu offerings

Requirements



Proven experience in food production, food preparation, cooking, or bakery roles within a professional kitchen environment Strong knowledge of culinary techniques related to baking and pastry making Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices in a commercial kitchen setting Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential for highly motivated candidates with relevant skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively A passion for baking and creating visually appealing desserts

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.38-18.17 per hour
