We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of food preparation. .
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Ensure all food production adheres to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and manage storage procedures to minimise waste.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment maintenance and sanitation routines.
Serve as a role model for professional behaviour and culinary excellence within the team.
Skills
Proven Cooking experience within a busy kitchen or Care Home environment.
Strong background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively.
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
Experience with food presentation and restaurant service operations.
Leadership qualities combined with a passion for culinary innovation.
Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
