Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef de partie or Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food preparation, and experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes, and maintaining excellent standards of food safety and hygiene. Duties



Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen activities, including food production and presentation Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient teamwork and adherence to schedules Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards Monitor food quality and consistency, making adjustments as necessary Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste Train new staff members on food preparation techniques and safety procedures Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery Contribute to menu planning and development based on current trends and customer preferences

Requirements



Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively Solid knowledge of food safety standards and regulations Experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings, with an understanding of serving procedures Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff Passion for cooking, innovation, and delivering exceptional guest experiences Relevant qualifications in culinary arts or hospitality management are desirable but not essential
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.21-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 45 per week
