We're looking for a new visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead our organisation into its next exciting chapter.
As CEO, you'll be the driving force behind Young Scot's strategic vision and operational delivery. You'll champion positive outcomes for young people, ensure robust governance and financial sustainability, and lead innovative approaches to fundraising and income diversification. You'll also build and nurture strategic partnerships to expand our reach and impact. A key focus will be developing strong relationships with the commercial sector to unlock new opportunities and enhance our influence.
This is a unique opportunity to provide inspirational leadership to a passionate team, work closely with our Board of Trustees, and represent Young Scot at the highest levels across Scotland. Key responsibilities Providing visible, dynamic, and effective leadership. Leading our staff team and inspiring them to deliver for young people in Scotland Leading on the strategic planning process and annual operational plans.
Delivering efficient and effective services and products that help us to deliver our strategic and operational plans. Initiating and maintaining dynamic, responsive, and flexible partnerships to create new services and opportunities for young people, including with commercial sector partners. Driving income diversification through innovative fundraising strategies, strategic partnerships, and the development of new revenue-generating opportunities, including commercial organisations.
Working with key staff to secure and develop funding sources to sustain and grow the work of the organisation. Lead the development and implementation of innovative digital solutions that enhance Young Scot's services, ensuring technology is used creatively and effectively to meet the evolving needs of young people. Representing Young Scot at key media and stakeholder engagement events.
Oversight of operational governance including: robust and effective budgetary controls; excellence in people development and management; efficient and effective operations in line with its organisational structure, charitable purposes and the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) regulatory requirements; delivery on our diversity, equity and inclusion strategy, alongside our anti-racism goals - within both Young Scot and our products and services for young people; and a culture of continuous improvement with effective systems in place to manage, monitor and evaluate performance.
