Chief Infrastructure Architect

London - hybrid with travel to customer sites

We are seeking a visionary and highly accomplished Chief Infrastructure Architect to lead enterprise-wide technology architecture across all infrastructure domains. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for shaping the strategy, design, and transformation of complex infrastructure landscapes while ensuring alignment with business goals, operational resilience, scalability, and innovation.



With extensive expertise across Wintel, Linux, Network, Voice, Collaboration, Mobility, Observability, End-User Computing, End-User Services, and Service Desk, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and guide the future of our infrastructure ecosystem.

The Role:

Define and drive the enterprise-wide infrastructure architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with digital transformation objectives. Design scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions across multiple domains, including: Wintel & Linux platforms + Network (LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, Wireless, Firewalls)
+ Unified Communications / Voice / Collaboration (Cisco, MS Teams)
+ Mobility & Endpoint Management (Intune, MDM/UEM)
+ Observability & Monitoring (ELK, Prometheus, AppDynamics, etc.)
+ End-User Computing (VDI, endpoints, OS lifecycle)
+ End-User Services & Service Desk (ITSM, automation, CSAT)
+ Act as a strategic advisor to executives, translating business needs into future-ready technical solutions.
Lead architecture governance and ensure compliance with enterprise standards and regulatory frameworks. Drive modernization initiatives such as cloud adoption, automation, containerization, Zero Trust, and SASE. Assess and recommend emerging technologies for adoption and innovation. Collaborate across delivery, engineering, security, DevOps, and applications to ensure cohesive and integrated solutions. Develop blueprints, roadmaps, and reference architectures for large-scale transformation programs. Contribute to RFP/RFI processes and pre-sales engagements for enterprise solutions. Mentor and guide a team of architects and senior engineers, fostering excellence in architectural practices.

What you will bring:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. 20+ years of IT Infrastructure and Architecture experience, with proven expertise across all major domains. Demonstrated success in delivering enterprise-grade architectures at scale. Strong knowledge of ITSM, ITIL, and service management practices. Expertise in traditional data center and cloud-native infrastructures (AWS, Azure, Hybrid). Outstanding communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Deep knowledge of security frameworks, BCP/DR planning, and compliance standards (ISO, NIST, etc.).

Preferred Certifications:

TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification. ITIL Expert / ITIL 4 Foundation. Advanced vendor certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, Red Hat). Cloud Architect certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
