As our organisation continues to grow, we are looking to redefine our marketing strategy and execute on our plans to be the first word in entry level tech training. As our CMO, it is your responsibility to define, guide and nurture the direction of our marketing and brand activities, whilst contributing to directing and embodying our culture and strategy .

Main Purpose of Job:

To define a clear and actionable strategy within our marketing efforts that can ensure effective positioning of the Tech Educators brand across channels and customer segments. Ensuring our customers, team and students are aligned to what Tech Educators stands for and delivers our annual plan targets. Whilst this is a strategic role, there is also a large amount of delivery work required. We are seeking an individual who can manage both.

Duties and Responsibilities



Driving Strategy, growth and market share Defining the overall marketing strategy to align with the company's objectives and revenue targets. Conducting market research to understand market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behaviour. Supporting the organisation in the definition and delivery of our annual and long range plans.

Marketing Execution



Developing and maintaining a consistent brand identity, voice, and positioning across all channels. Overseeing all internal and external marketing communications (advertising, PR, content, digital media). Budgeting, forecasting and purchasing (where necessary) marketing initiatives and activities, focussing on demonstrating a strong Return on Investment (ROI). Moving the organisation to a position of "thought leadership" in an ever changing education and work environment.

Team Leadership and Development:



Building, mentoring, and leading a high-performing team across marketing and commercial functions within the organisation. Fostering cross-functional collaboration, particularly with Education and Finance.

Governance, Strategy and Organisational Direction



Take a core role in the development and delivery of the operational annual plan, bringing organisational, market and legislative knowledge to the business to drive a sustainable business. Actively engage in and contribute to our Governance Meetings alongside industry input to ensure high quality education outcomes with our students at the centre. Help to ensure an emotionally and physically safe environment for our students and staff team Understand and be committed to Tech Educators philosophy, policies and practice Lead team meetings (including staff and review meetings) Proficient in carrying out appraisals Comply with requirements of Health and Safety Contributing to staff training and development Undertake any other duties, tasks or responsibilities which may reasonably be required.

Experience and capabilities



Strong leadership and management skills - a history of managing a high performing team. Deep understanding of marketing principles, strategy, and execution. Data-driven and tech-savvy, with strong analytical skills - willing to learn and develop new skills in an ever changing environment. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Proficiency in brand management, market research, and digital marketing

Success Criteria



An effective leader in this position will deliver the following success criteria in the first year of their role, success criteria for each annual planning period will be defined.

A defined marketing plan that addresses the main pillars of the organisation's customer base and varying personas. Delivery of the marketing plan and onboarding process that ensures student numbers per course align to our annual plan in both numbers and budget. Review and alignment of roles and responsibilities within the team, including a full pathway and succession mapping.

Salary, Conditions of Service and benefits



1. Hours of work: 35 hours a week, 52 weeks per year. With 25 days and bank holiday days as holiday.

2. The salary for the role is 38,000 - 50,000 dependent on experience, with access to the Tech Educators bonus scheme.

3. The individual will be eligible to join the company private healthcare scheme.

4. New appointments are subject to a six-month probationary period.

5. Membership of the auto enrolment pension scheme on successfully meeting the qualifying criteria.

6. The successful applicant will be required to complete and obtain a DBS check from the Vetting and Barring Bureau which Tech Educators will pay the cost of
