About the Role
This is a hybrid role that sits somewhere between an Executive Assistant, Operations Manager and Project Manager, with the added exposure of working side-by-side with the CEO.
As Chief of Staff, you'll be the CEO's right hand - making sure priorities are delivered, information flows smoothly and projects keep moving. You'll act as a buffer between the CEO and the wider business, helping to filter, organise and align work across multiple departments.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to step up from a support or operational role and gain hands-on experience across the full spectrum of running a fast-growing energy supplier.
Key Responsibilities
? Serve as the first point of contact for teams before matters reach the CEO.
? Coordinate across functions including Customer Service, Compliance, Billing, Credit Control, Finance, Partner Support, Trading & Forecasting and Metering.
? Track business priorities, ensuring actions are followed up and deadlines met.
? Consolidate weekly operational updates into clear reports for the CEO.
? Prepare briefing notes, board papers and presentations to support decision-making.
? Assist with strategic projects, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time and aligned with business goals.
? Identify and escalate issues with recommendations for resolution.
? Support ad-hoc tasks for the CEO, ranging from operations to strategic planning.
Skills & Experience
? Degree-educated or equivalent experience.
? 1+ years' professional experience (EA, operations, project management, business analysis, consulting, or similar).
? Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
? Excellent written and verbal communication. ? Comfortable working with data and producing reports.
? Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
? Commercially aware with an interest in the UK energy market.
? Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
