About the Role




We are seeking a

high-impact, strategic operator

to serve as

Chief of Staff

to our Chief Commercial Officer. This is a

hybrid strategic and commercial execution role

, focused on

driving account-level profitability

through intelligent strategy design, solution commercialisation, and compelling storytelling for our client-facing teams.


You will be working on some of the biggest e-tailers & Marketplaces in the world (Eg.Vinted, TikTok, Temu ) at the intersection of commercial, product, data, engineering, and operations to drive improvements in the end-to-end profitability of our most important accounts


You will be responsible for

translating complex commercial and operational insights into pitch-ready narratives

by working cross-functionally, to empower Account Managers to confidently articulate and sell value to clients. You will bring a consultancy-level lens to strategy and commercialisation, with an innate ability to simplify complexity and structure ideas clearly for senior audiences -- both internally and externally.

As the Chief of Staff - Commercial Strategy at Relay, You Will:



Partner directly with the CCO to

drive strategic initiatives

that improve the profitability and health of Relay's top client accounts to maximise growth

Commercialise strategic ideas

by crafting clear and inspiring narratives that link operational excellence to tangible client value. Build pitch-perfect, client-facing decks and toolkits to

empower Account Managers

to pitch new ideas, justify pricing structures, or position cost-saving solutions. Lead the development of internal collateral that aligns client challenges with Relay's operational capabilities and differentiators. Work cross-functionally with Finance & Legal to orchestrate the most compelling incentivisation structures for clients, along with the necessary legal protections to safeguard client-level profitability Serve as a

bridge between data, operations, and commercial

, shaping commercially sound and delivery-ready client proposals. Support the CCO with preparation for board meetings, investor updates, strategic account pitches, and internal leadership discussions. Coach and upskill commercial team members in structured thinking, commercial storytelling, and strategic messaging.

You Will Thrive in This Role If You:



Bring

8+ years of experience

in commercial strategy, client delivery, or engagement management from a top-tier consultancy (e.g. McKinsey, Bain, BCG), strategic projects team, or high-growth startup. Have a

deep understanding of commercial drivers

in e-commerce or B2B client services. In logistics would be a plus. Possess

exceptional deck-building and structured communication skills

-- you think in PowerPoint/ Google slides and write in headlines. Are fluent in interpreting operational data and commercial reports, and can convert them into actionable insight and narratives. Are highly collaborative and thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with multiple stakeholders. Are a

trusted operator

, capable of confidentially partnering with senior leadership and acting as a strategic sounding board.
