We are looking for an experienced
COO
to take operational ownership of our growth and build scalable systems.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Leadership
- Oversee daily installation operations nationwide, ensuring jobs are completed on time, safely, and to quality standards.
Scaling Workforce
- Recruit, train, and manage regional installer teams; introduce KPIs for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Process & Systems
- Build and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for installs, certification, customer handover, and aftercare.
Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with BS7671, Part P, DNO notifications, and EV-specific regs.
Supplier & Stock Management
- Negotiate with suppliers for EV chargers, cables, and parts to maximise margin and minimise lead times.
Financial Efficiency
- Work with finance to monitor install costs, engineer performance, and profitability per job.
Commercial Growth
- Support the CEO with partnerships (car dealerships, housing developers, fleets), ensuring the company can deliver at scale.
Team Leadership
- Build and lead mid-level managers (Ops Manager, Sales Manager, Regional Leads).
Ideal Candidate
Proven track record in
scaling an installation business
- EV chargers, solar, utilities, or renewables preferred.
Strong operational background - managing 20+ engineers across multiple sites.
Commercially sharp - able to balance customer experience with profit per job.
Highly organised - can implement structure in a fast-growth, high-pressure environment.
Growth mindset - thrives in a scale-up, not a corporate comfort zone.
Ambitious - wants to help build a national leader, not just "manage a company."
