WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As Chief Product Owner, you are a member of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO. You will own product direction across Jonas Fintech and be accountable for turning customer insight, market reality, and business strategy into products that actually ship.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll work at a senior, strategic level and remain directly involved in the detail -- making decisions, writing requirements and specs, and helping teams get things over the line.
What that means in practice?
Stay close to customers and the workLead and personally take part in customer discovery, interviews, and feedback
Translate insight into clear requirements, product specs, and acceptance criteria
Validate assumptions early and adjust quickly
Be the product decision-maker across all Jonas Fintech business
Own prioritisation across products and platforms
Make explicit trade-offs between competing pressures
Take accountability for business outcomes.
Operating at SLT level, you will work closely with:CEO -- setting and executing product strategy
CRO -- shaping propositions that generate revenue and market fit
CTO -- working through design choices, technical constraints, and sequencing
COO -- ensuring what we build can be operated and supported at scale
Head of Compliance -- embedding regulatory (FCA) and scheme requirements (Direct Debit, Bacs) into product design
Head of Payment Operations -- supporting better, quicker reconciliation
Product decisions here affect live payment processing, regulatory risk, and customer trust.
Lead by doingLine manage Product Owners while staying actively involved in defining problems and shaping solutions
Set the standard for product thinking, documentation, and decision-making
Step in to unblock progress and sharpen direction when needed.
Turn strategy into executionConvert business strategy into concrete product outcomes
Maintain focused, realistic roadmaps
Review delivery and results regularly and change course when required
We are seeking someone with strong Product Owner experience with a background in applying this in a commercial business to business software company, and good knowledge of Payments industry.
