Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Child and Family Therapist to join our Inhouse Therapeutic Service, part of Swansea's wider Child and Family Services.

Based within our Family Support Service, our team is grounded in trauma-informed practice and our Child and Family wider Signs of Safety framework. We are committed to ensuring families receive the right support, at the right time, from the right place -- as early as possible -- to achieve the best possible outcomes.

About the Role

We are seeking someone with substantial knowledge and experience in working with developmental trauma. While experience within the care system or social care teams is beneficial, it is not essential -- what matters most is your clinical insight, flexibility, and commitment to relational, child-centred practice.

Our service operates within a staged model of intervention, working not only with children and their Carers, but more importantly with the wider system that supports them. Interventions are tailored to be developmentally congruent and sequential, recognising the unique needs of each child and family.

Key aspects of the role include:

Consultation and reflective spaces for social care staff and the wider professional network Group work with carers and professionals Collaborative working with partner agencies Direct therapeutic work with children, young people, and families

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working creatively, flexibly, and systemically, and who values being part of a supportive, reflective, and innovative team.
