are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and highly motivated Nursery Assistant to undertake duties for the provision of the care, safety and learning of the children in the Nursery Education Group, which is registered as a Nursery Education Provider and works within the Ofsted requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
To ensure that the development and needs of all children attending the nursery are met through the implementation of the Foundation Stage curriculum and the guidance from birth to three matters; taking into account the SEN code of practice and an anti-bias approach
To understand child development and the importance of learning through play when planning activities for children
To keep appropriate records of the children's progression in accordance with the Data Protection Act
To work in a flexible manner to ensure that all the needs of the children and their families are met
To actively support the development and review of all nursery policies and procedures
We are looking for someone who has:
NVQ 3 or equivalent in Childcare or equivalent
Experience of working with children under five.
Experience of working with children and families with Special Educational Needs
Knowledge and understanding of the National Standards and any other relevant legislation within an inclusive framework
Experience of working in a community-based setting
