Your next role




The Quality Assurance and Review Team plays a pivotal role in supporting Quality Assurance Independent Reviewing Officers (QAIRO's) who chair Child We Care For Reviews, alongside Chairs who do Child Protection Conferences. LADO Officers (Local Authority Designated Officers) are also based within the team and they chair Allegation Management Meetings. The Team is therefore responsible for a range of confidential and sensitive information about Children We Care For, Child Protection and Allegation Management.


We put the child at the center of everything that we do, and we need you to join us in doing this. This role is based within the Quality Assurance and Review Team in Children's Services, the primary role of this post is to take minutes for a variety of meetings. You will attend and observe meetings between parents, children, and many other professionals, including police and social workers.


You will accurately record and take detailed notes of meetings, including the key actions. In Child Protection Conferences you will type 'live' into the plan which is produced in the meeting. You will be highly-organised and comfortable meeting deadlines and managing your workload around scheduled meetings. Due to the sensitive nature of the meetings, you will need to meet data protection and confidentiality procedures as well as be able to process information of a potentially distressing nature.

Knowledge and Experience:




Excellent minute taking or audio typing, with the ability to type straight on to a laptop Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Emotionally resilient, able to process information of a potentially distressing nature Ability to concentrate for long periods, despite distractions and disruptions
