Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 2 or 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Naval under 5's ( eastern area)(swift under threes)
A warm welcome awaits you at Swan. We are a small inclusive preschool offering funded and non- funded places for children aged 2 to 4 years.
Swan has a dedicated team of passionate early years practitioners, the Manager and Deputy Manager and Early Years Practitioner. We frequently attend a variety of relevant training to keep our practice updated. We all work hard to develop good relationships with our families providing extra support if needed. Naval Under Fives have 1 area and all activities are in line with the EYFS framework.
We provide for children aged between 2-5years and have opportunity to work with younger chldren (babies) in other settings should this be required as part of the Apprenticeship.
Your duties and responsibilities will include;
To work in ratio (after first aid training)
Work under guidance of current staff and mentor
Execute activities
Follow EYFS framework
Working toward and understand children's wellbeing and development
Good understanding of safeguarding and health and safety practices.
Building relationships with parents and staff
Support learning based on children's individual needs
Providing equality of opportunity and ensure fare learning for all
Have strong written and verbal communication skills
Requirements;
No previous Childcare qualification or GCSE's are required
You must be able to gain a clear DBS
Hours;
Naval under Fives is open from 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday - Term Time Only
The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week
