Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Little Crickets Forest School, Bournemouth.

Being outdoors isn't weather dependent at Little Crickets! All children benefit from time outdoors each day.
All outside based, have an Inside Yurt. Forest school based, natural resources, crafts with nature, woodwork. Caring for children 2 - 4 years.
Your duties and responsibilities will include;
Most members of staff in the Nursery are allocated children for whom they will be a Key Person. To fulfil this role, key people must ensure they are observing, planning and evaluating each child's development and ensuring they are liaising with others when needed.
Support each child's learning and development, recording relevant learning and development for key children on Blossom.
Record conversations/observations in the Pupil Profile.
Liaise with parents and other family members.
Check the children are suitably dressed for activities and weather conditions.
Help prepare the breakfast, snack and tea, and assist with the clearing up afterwards.
Help prepare the room for the various meals and snack times.
Take shared responsibility for standards of safety, hygiene, security, cleanliness and tidiness throughout the nursery setting.
Other duties as and when required such as welcoming children in and seeing them out. These duties are usually allocated on a rota basis.
Implement policies and procedures for the Nursery to ensure the welfare requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework are met.
Contribute to the in the moment planning and assist with the experiences planned by the staff team for the children, including the setting up and clearing away of equipment and materials e.g. preparing paints, washing paints, cleaning tables and clearing floors.
Contribute to the list of jobs that must be done e.g. cleaning of the toys.
Support the Room Leader and follow out any reasonable requests by them.
Help maintain the day to day running of the nursery.
Attend staff meetings & INSET days as required.
Any other duties as required by the School or Nurseries.
Requirements;
Knowledge of the EYFS and Birth to Five Matters is required.
A Level 2 Childcare qualification is essential
You must be able to gain a clear DBS
Have GCSE grades A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent
Hours;
Little Crickets Forest School is open from 7:30am - 6:15pm Monday to Friday
The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week
