Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship - Tiny Tots Nursery at Rugrats and Halfpints

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Tiny Tots Nursery at Rugrats and Halfpints.


Our dedicated team of practitioners at Tiny Tots provide exceptional care and support to every child. Each member undergoes rigorous screening and training, including regular off-site and in-house sessions covering key topics such as safeguarding and special educational needs. We assign a Key Person to each child for close monitoring and progress tracking, and every child is assessed at various stages to ensure they develop and meet their potential. While the Key Person plays a vital role, all staff members in each room actively help develop and socialize every child.

With a background in the soft play industry since 2007, our Managing Director, Caroline Bevan, has always strived for excellence and is dedicated to delivering a quality service to our guests. Our menus include breakfast, a morning snack, cooked lunch, an afternoon snack and afternoon tea and each daily menu is designed to incorporate fresh fruit, vegetables, and meals that are balanced, nutritious and tasty. Our food is prepared in-house from scratch using low-salt, low-sugar recipes and high-quality ingredients.


All the children participate in group eating times, where we promote:


Physical development - cutlery control and taking your own portions of food Personal and social development - time to talk and share Numeracy - counting and laying the table Language development - reading your name on placemats Knowledge and understanding of the world - where the food comes from The older children are encouraged to take their own portions during afternoon tea

Every child is asked to bring in a water bottle at the start of the day so that they can take a drink whenever they want one, with staff encouraging them to drink plenty of water throughout the day.

We have built several planting boxes in our garden and the children get the opportunity to spend time learning about how to grow vegetables and flowers. The children often plant their own individual pots in advance of key dates and then give them as gifts.

Tiny Tots Nursery are looking for experienced, creative and enthusiastic, qualified Nursery Practitioners to join our team in our lovely, setting in Cirencester.


We will support you giving you the training and mentoring required for you to flourish in this new role. We are looking for practitioners who are dynamic, has the ability to work as part of a team, be able to use their initiative and time-manage their day effectively to ensure the smooth running of our nursery and above all have a passion for working with children.


You will be someone who is mature in outlook, experienced and focused on delivering excellent standards of care with a natural ability to work as part of a team and always be willing to go above and beyond, as well as..


Engaging children in entertaining and educational play through a variety of activities. Supervising children at indoor and outdoor play and ensuring their safety and security. Supporting and assisting peers in planning and delivering the EYFS. Ensuring regular communication and interaction with parents to update them on their child's progress.

To be successful in this role you must have the following skills and knowledge:


Experience working with children birth to 5 years Ability to develop and deliver an engaging activity plan in accordance to the EYFS Ability to communicate with children and parents Work well within a team

Requirements;

1 years experience in a nursery setting A Level 2 Childcare qualification would be desirable Basic IT skills

Hours;

Tiny Tots Nursery is open from 7:30am - 6:00pm Monday to Friday The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week
