Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship - First Steps Nursery - Redhill

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at First Steps Nursery - Redhill.


Welcome to First Steps! Founded in 1991, we offer exceptional childcare for babies, toddlers and preschooler's from six months up to five years in a fun, stimulating learning environment.


Our nursery building has been specifically designed with children in mind, complete with a purpose built preschool. We have four bright and modern age specific play rooms and our nursery boasts a large outdoor area with plenty of outdoor space allowing the children lots of room to explore their outdoor learning environment.


A little bit about us:


Our rooms are resourced with age appropriate items such as arts & crafts, sand and water play, book corners, role play and sensory resources which provide a stimulating environment. We provide a safe and secure environment. Our friendly, experienced qualified staff are Paediatric First Aid trained, DBS checked and hold a Safeguarding certificate. We provide delicious homemade meals which are prepared onsite by our nursery Chef We have an active Partnership with Parents using Blossom App with live updates throughout your child's day at nursery. We are a Sing & Sign affiliated nursery; a communication programme which helps stimulate a baby's speech.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

Supporting the key members of the team with the development needs of the children until becoming confident within the role Undertaking all aspects of personal cate and hygiene Supporting at snack and mealtimes Assist with self-care teaching Helping with the children's development needs Undertaking regular online training Working as a team, Liaising with parents' and completing handovers with parents when confident Keep the children's learning journals up to date

Requirements;

Experience in a nursery setting is desirable GCSE grades A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent

Hours;

First Steps Nursery - Redhill is open from 8:00am - 18:00pm Monday to Friday The successful candidate will be required to work 32 - 40 hours per week, depending on age. over 4 days
