Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship - Whitchurch Montessori

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Whitchurch Montessori


Whitchurch Montessori is a pre-school born out of a desire to give their children the best possible introduction to education both inside and outside of the classroom. Founded by Julia Lymbery and Sharon King the School's mission is very clear: "To help as many people as possible to reach self-actualisation"


Whitchurch Montessori's teachers are calm, insightful and full of love for the child. They have been recruited for both their vision and skill and work tirelessly to ensure that the environment is kept perfectly in line with each child's needs and interests.

Your roles and responsibilities will include;

To observe a safe and stimulating environment Communicate with families and updating them on progress Updating notes on the children's development, to assess their stage of development Plan activities in line with children's interest Each staff member is assigned a project, something that they are interest in, and plan an activity for the children around that, this could be anything form singing, dancing, cooking or whatever takes their fancy Candidates will cover all aspects of personal care including nappy changing and toileting Assist and support the children helping at mealtimes Have a natural interest in being outdoors.

The Successful candidates must have the right skills to support the children to be able to achieve the following, and it's the aim that each child that progresses from Whitchurch Montessori has the following -


Has built a foundation of independence that will serve them in their lives Has developed both social awareness and social skills ensuring that their relationships are positive and vibrant Has high self-esteem and empathy for others Has confidence in their problem solving ability and own intelligence Has an understanding that in service to others there is a joy that does not come from anywhere else Has received a world class pre-school education

Requirements;

You must be able to gain a clear DBS GCSE grades A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent are desired
Have knowledge or be familiar with the Montessori philosophy and ethos Level 2 in Childcare is desired but not essential Experience in childcare is desired

Qualities Required;

Must be a good communicator as will speaking with families Have the desire to self-develop

Hours;

Whitchurch Montessori are open from 08:00-18:00 Monday to Friday, all year round The successful candidate will be required to work 38 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed
