Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Silver Stars Day Nursery, Winterbourne.
Silver Stars Day Nursery is a privately owned and managed nursery situated in Winterbourne Down. The management team are actively involved in the running of the nursery and care of the children.

At Silver Stars Day Nursery, we consider ourselves as early childhood educators. We offer a family-orientated nursery that provides your child with a fun and happy start to their education.
We focus on building close relationships with both children and parents. We have an open-door policy enabling parents to speak with practitioners daily.
At Silver Stars Day Nursery, we follow the EYFS Statutory Framework for the Early Years

At Silver Stars Day Nursery, we are lucky to have a large garden for our children to enjoy which we take full advantage of.
We have 3 rooms, Bably room, toddler room and pre-school.
Activities we provide are Music classes, sports sessions and work with Curiosity Approach in mind and follow the EYFS framework, lots of outdoor activities.
Silver Stars Day Nursery care for children from 6-weeks to 5 years.
Your duties and responsibilities will include;
Child Development & Learning
Promote the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of children aged 0-5
Plan and deliver stimulating, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Observe, assess, and record children's progress to inform planning and support individual needs
Safeguarding & Child Welfare
Ensure a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all children
Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures in accordance with statutory guidance
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to GDPR and data protection policies
Inclusion & Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Support children with additional needs, ensuring inclusive access to learning opportunities
Work collaboratively with external agencies and professionals to implement tailored support strategies
Promote equality, diversity, and inclusive practices throughout the setting
Partnership with Parents & Carers
Build and maintain positive relationships with families and carers
Communicate regularly regarding children's development, achievements, and well-being
Encourage parental involvement in the learning process and setting activities
Professional Conduct & Team Collaboration
Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a positive and professional environment
Mentor and support junior staff and apprentices
Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice
Administrative & Organisational Duties
Maintain accurate records, including observations, assessments, and safeguarding documentation
Support the day-to-day organisation of the setting, including routines, transitions, and events
Uphold all policies, procedures, and standards set by the organisation and regulatory bodies
Requirements;
A Level 2 Childcare qualification is essential
Preferably have GCSE grades A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent Preferably be First Aid trained
Hours;
Silver Stars Day Nursery is open from 8:00am - 6:00pm Monday to Friday
The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week over 4 days
