Childcare Apprenticeship

- Marsh Lane Day Nursery

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 or Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship at Marsh Lane Day Nursery, Yeovil. (*Level 3 apprenticeship only available to candidates with a current Level 2 childcare qualification, unqualified candidates will undertake a Level 2 apprenticeship)


Established in 1995, Marsh Lane Day Nursery Ltd is set in a lovely and quiet location on Marsh Lane, We are easily accessible from either Ilchester Road or Coombe Street Lane and the nursery itself is located away from the road with a private car park for the parents to use. The Nursery has three pleasant and secure outdoor areas, which have access to Yeovil Recreation Centre and is only a short walk to a local farm and country walks. We operate on a session basis.


Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm throughout the year, only closing for bank holidays and one week over the Christmas period. All food is provided during these sessions with access to fresh drinking water and milk at all times. Meals are prepared fresh on the premises by our Cook who takes pride in meeting all children's needs. Our staff have a wide range of Early Years qualifications ranging from a level 2 to a level 6, we are all passionate about updating our skills regularly with various courses.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and flexible person to join our team to provide quality care and learning for babies and children aged 3 months to five years You will work as part of a team to provide a safe, caring, fun and stimulating environment The successful candidate would be working towards becoming a key person Will undertake all aspects of personal care including nappy changing and assisting at feeding times You will update the children's journey using tapestry You will become confident in liaising with parents and keeping them updated on their children's progress Will assist with organising the daily activities

Requirements;

A Level 2 Childcare qualification would be desirable Preferably have GCSE grades A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent or willing to work towards them

Hours;

The setting is open from 8:00am - 6:00pm Monday to Friday The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week, Patterns to be discussed
