We are seeking 3 dedicated and nurturing childcare workers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for working with children and possess the skills necessary to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment. One role involves caring for children in our nursery+ provision for 17.5 hours per week. The other posts are caring for children in our Flying Start provision. A background in early childhood education or related experience is highly desirable. All three posts are term-time only, starting on Monday January 5th 2026, temporary until July 31st 2026. There may be the opportunity for overtime (paid at the same rate) to cover holiday clubs and staff absences.

Responsibilities
Provide attentive care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a supportive community.
Manage daily routines including meal times, nap times, and play activities.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery environment.
Observe and assess children's progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff or parents as necessary.
Collaborate with other childcare providers to implement educational programmes and activities.
Drive children to various locations if required (valid driving licence preferred).
Requirements
Previous experience in childcare or nursery settings with
minimum NVQ 3 or equivalent
childcare qualification, as defined by childcare regulations in Wales.
Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with children and parents.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and positive attitude.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles is advantageous.
Demonstrated leadership skills to guide and support younger staff or volunteers when needed.
A genuine love for working with children and fostering their growth in a nurturing environment.
