Job Description

Important Mini People is a private day-care nursery in Carrickfergus. We are open 7:15am to 6:15pm, Monday to Friday. Shifts are varied to cover these hours. We currently have 1 vacancy:

1 full-time nursery assistant post (36 hours over 4x 9-hour days)

Roles and responsibilities

:

To ensure a high level of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care and development for the children placed in the nursery. To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the manager and to give support to other personnel within the nursery. To adhere to and enforce all policies and procedures within the nursery. To plan daily routines for the children. To risk-assess all aspects of the daily routine to ensure a safe environment for staff, students, and children.

Essential criteria:



Age 18 and over. A minimum qualification of NVQ Level 2 in Childcare and Education, or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year's experience in childcare. If you do not currently have a qualification, you should be willing to study for a childcare qualification within 6 months of commencing employment. Have a flexible attitude to work. Be a team player. Be motivated.

Desirable criteria:



Clean driving licence for manual cars. Paediatric first-aid training. Safeguarding training.
