We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early Years education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery practitioner, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your leadership skills will be essential in managing daily activities and ensuring effective communication with both children and their families.
Our Ideal Candidate Will:
Relevant qualifications, level 2/3 in Childcare are essential.
Experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
A genuine passion for working with children and contributing to their development with the ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences.
Have a good level of understanding of the EYFS and Safeguarding policies/procedures
Believe in promoting and building strong parent partnerships to provide cohesive learning for the children
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage activities effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
A commitment to safeguarding children's welfare and promoting their well-being at all times.
The role requires that you ensure:
Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Drive engaging activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development among children.
Manage daily routines, including snack/mealtimes, and play activities, ensuring a structured yet flexible environment.
Communicate effectively with children to support their learning and development while also maintaining open lines of communication with parents and guardians.
Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for further development.
Participation in the key persons system being responsible for a group of children including monitoring, assessment, up to date recording and reporting on their development and progress
Collaborate with team members to create a positive atmosphere that encourages teamwork and mutual support.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the nursery environment at all times.
The highest standards are maintained when providing care, implementing safeguarding practices and following nursery policies/procedures
