We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team at an out of school club within a primary school. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to providing a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for their play and development. As a Play Worker, you will be responsible for facilitating play activities, ensuring the well-being of children, and promoting positive interactions among peers.
Duties
Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
Plan and implement creative play activities that cater to various age groups and interests.
Foster an inclusive environment where all children feel valued and supported.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of play areas and equipment.
Monitor children's behaviour and provide guidance to promote positive social interactions.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure high standards of care and education are met.
Candidates must be able to work from 2. 45pm during term time any days between Monday and Friday
Skills
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to create engaging activities that stimulate children's development.
Experience working in a nursery or similar setting is advantageous.
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth through play.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 3 - 20 per week
