Contract

37 hour / 4 day week (7:45am to 6pm, 1hr unpaid lunch)

Qualified rate of pay 13 per hour (Level 3 CCLD or Playwork)

Summary

As a Childcare / Early Years Practitioner at Bumbles (regardless of qualifications), your job is to provide safe, high quality education and care for children ages approximately 6 months - 11 years. You must work as part of a team and closely with our children by ensuring a safe, caring, happy and stimulating environment for the children in our care. You will ensure that the high standards of care, service, safety and hygiene are maintained according to all Bumbles Day Care policies, procedures and routines.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and support to children in a nursery setting. Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote growth and learning. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare. Adhere to daily routines and maintain a safe, clean environment for children. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians. Support the team in creating a positive atmosphere that encourages children's development.

Requirements (Desirable)

Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children and families. A relevant qualification in childcare or early years education is required for a Qualified Practitioner role at Bumbles (Level 3 CCLD, Playwork or equivalent). If unqualified, you would be expected to start qualifications once probation period of 6 months is complete (unless keen to start earlier).
