Danum Daisies are looking to appoint an enthusiastic practitioners to join our caring and dedicated team to work within our homely nursery. We would prefer candidates to have a minimum of 2 years experience with good confident knowledge of the EYFS and child development. Our nursery is a small home from home, open plan nursery with up to 42 children at any one time ranging from 0-5yrs. We support a number of children with SEN and disabilities and previous experience of this would also be preferred. We currently have 1 vacancy 30-40 hours.
Candidates will need:
A passionate, empathetic and positive attitude towards working with children
2 yrs experience within an early years environment
A full Level 3 Qualification or equivalent in Childcare, Learning and Development (we may consider if you do not have a level 3 equivalent if you have experience within the sector)
Paediatric First Aid Qualification would be preferred
Safeguarding and SEN training would be preferred.
Experience of working with 0-3 years of age would be preferred
A good sound knowledge of the child development and how to progress learning through play
Candidates will
Promote positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues.
Ensure health, safety and well being of the children at all times.
Be a key person carrying out all related responsibilities including assessing, planning, observing and carrying out adult led activities
Help children to progress and learn through child initiated activities and using 'in the moment' planning and teaching moments
Complete reports on their children's progress.
Work with external agencies and the SENCO to support our children with SEN.
Be aware of health and safety and make sure children are safe at all times.
Share information on children's development with their parents/carers
Report any concerns of children to the designated person
Complete assessments and reports on a computer system which links to the EYFS.
Have regard to inclusion and support our ethos for ensuring all children and families are treated with respect
Take pride in being a secondary care giver to our children
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY FOR OUR NURSERY, YOU WILL LOVE TO PLAY WITH THE CHILDREN BOTH INDOORS AND OUTDOORS AND HELP THEM LEARN THROUGH PLAY AND TEACHING
