We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, with a passion for nurturing and supporting the development of children. As a Childcare Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their well-being and promoting their growth.

Duties

Provide high-quality care and support to children in an afterschool care setting. Develop and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships. Manage daily routines, ensuring that children's needs are met in a timely manner. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment for children to explore and learn. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents as necessary. Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive approach to childcare. Drive initiatives that enhance the overall quality of care provided within the nursery.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Experience in early childhood education or childcare is desirable however training can be provided. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail. Leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members or volunteers. A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their developmental needs. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable. A valid driving licence is essential.
