Job Opportunity: Practitioner (Term-Time, Flexible Hours)

Breakfast and After School Club

. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with children and is keen to make a meaningful difference in a vibrant childcare setting.

Hours


Term-time only, on a flexible, as-needed basis:

7:00am - 9:00am


2:45pm - 6:00pm



Your Role:


You will play a vital part in creating a

positive and supportive environment

for children aged

nursery to P7

, including those with additional support needs. Your focus will be on supporting their

social and emotional development

through engaging, fun, and age-appropriate activities.

Responsibilities include:



Building positive, nurturing relationships with children, families, and colleagues Planning and leading play-based activities that promote learning and development Supporting children in both group and independent play Ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of all children Helping to maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-organised play environment Contributing to team meetings and shared planning

Who We're Looking For:


No formal childcare qualifications are required, but a genuine

passion for working with children

is essential. We welcome applications from:

Individuals willing to work toward a relevant childcare qualification

Any students currently studying childcare or teaching

, as

any course placement requirements can be supported and covered by the service

Qualified practitioners with an SVQ Level 3 in Playwork/SVQF Level 7/HNC in Childhood Practice (or equivalent)

Essential requirements:



Become a

PVG Scheme Member

Be prepared to register with the

SSSC
