Job Overview

We are seeking a commited and enthusiastic Nursery Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience in managing the care of young children. This role is essential in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. The Nursery Worker will be responsible for engaging with children, supporting their development, and ensuring their wellbeing.

Nursery is located in South Norwood, SE25 5BU

35 - 50 hours available.

Responsibilities

Manage daily activities and routines for children in the nursery setting. Provide high-quality childcare by ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships. Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery space, including toys and equipment. Drive initiatives that encourage children's social, emotional, and physical development. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment focused on child welfare.

Skills

Experience in childcare or early childhood education is desirable. Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to engage with children of various ages and backgrounds. A proactive approach to problem-solving within a nursery environment. Knowledge of child development principles and practices is beneficial
