The Setting Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and parents. The Setting Manager will be responsible for managing the team, coordinating activities, and fostering a positive atmosphere that promotes early childhood education.
Duties
Lead and manage a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care and education.
Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the needs of children aged 0-5 years.
Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on their child's progress and address any concerns.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for children and staff.
Oversee daily operations, including assisting with staffing schedules, resource allocation, and activity planning.
Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages professional development and continuous improvement.
Manage administrative tasks related to the nursery's operations, including record keeping and reporting.
Qualifications
Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education settings is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A passion for working with children and understanding their developmental needs.
Experience in managing teams within a nursery or similar environment is desirable.
Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare minimum of a level 3.
Ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences.
