We are seeking a dedicated, experienced and energetic Supervisor to support the wellbeing and development of children in our care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, along with a passion for Playwork and childcare development. This role involves working closely with children, families, and staff to create a nurturing and caring environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the manager in the daily operations within the setting, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children.
Providing support and supervision to play workers and other staff, including volunteers.
Providing comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from school and delivering them safely to parents/carers.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Ensuring compliance with annual inspections from Belfast Trust and all expectations are met.
Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
Monitoring and maintaining a healthy, safe and secure working environment.
Skills
Proven management/ supervisory experience in a childcare setting or similar environment.
Strong leadership abilities to inspire and motivate a team.
A minimum of 3 years experience working with children 4 to 11 year olds.
Ability to work on own initiative, using judgement and common sense
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff.
A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation as needed.
