Summary

This is a new type of role for us to fill important gaps in our service.

We are seeking dedicated self employed Childcare Support Staff to join our team on a zero hour contract at The Relief Group working hours that suit.

You will be happy to be called upon in the morning or evenings to support the team if need be, and will be rewarded for your flexibility with competitive hourly rates paid daily.

Not all bookings are short notice, so this role would suit students or mature individuals with flexible days. Not looking for set or regular hours.

In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering a safe and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their well-being and development. This position is essential in supporting our mission of delivering high-quality family-focused services.

Responsibilities

Covering sickness, holidays and supporting the team generally.

The successful candidates will:

Provide attentive and nurturing care to children in a safe environment. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress. Manage daily routines, including meals, naps, and playtime. Support children's learning through educational play and structured activities. Maintain a clean and organized space to ensure safety and hygiene.

Requirements

Car driver is advantageous (fuel allowance paid) Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential. Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff effectively. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude. Knowledge of early childhood development principles is preferred. Leadership qualities to guide and support other staff members is desirable.
