We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Worker to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children in an after school care setting or similar. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and the capability to manage daily activities while ensuring the well-being of each child.
Responsibilities
Supervise and engage with children in a nurturing manner, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community.
Manage daily routines, including snack times and play sessions.
Maintain a clean and organised environment that meets health and safety standards.
Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents as necessary.
Qualifications
Social Service ( Children and Young People) SCQF 7 or equivalent is essential
Proven experience in childcare is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire children.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of independent decision-making.
