Job Description

City Care Southwest is recruiting for a number of children and young people's coaches for fixed positions and also to build our bank staffing team.

At City Care Southwest we believe that young people should have the ability to live independently in a happy and healthy environment, feel safe and secure and grow into the best versions of themselves that they can be.

Working in a homely residential setting, the role will require you to support, coach and assist children and young people between the ages of 5 and 17, to attend school, learn essential life skills and thrive.

Being located in the heart of Plymouth, our homes will have easy access to the vast opportunities the city has to offer enabling you to provide positive support that is considerate of the views, wishes and feelings of each child whilst meeting their needs.

We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic, caring people to join our team. No two days will be the same and you could be supporting children and young people with activities or days, to teaching household domestic skills or accompanying to appointments and maintain family relationships.

Rate of Pay: 12.50 per hour

Skills, Experience and Knowledge



Essential



- Have or be willing to work towards a Level 3 Qualification in Health and Social Care.

- Have 12 months experience of working with Children and young people in a residential setting or similar.

- Have a good understanding of Adverse Childhood Experience and working in a Trauma Informed way.

- Excellent Communication Skills.

- Professional Resilience.

- Meet the requirements for a DBS

Desirable



- Full Driving License and Access to a vehicle
