Children & Families Service Coordinator (Home Based South West)
We are looking for a new member of the team to coordinate our service provisions with families across the service area - Devon, Somerset and Cornwall. This is exciting new role, with scope to expand the role for the right applicant. Some travel may be required around the service area, but the role can largely be home based.
This Specific Role will include the following, recognising it will expand as it's a brand new role!
Managing the diary, team rota's and service delivery schedule.
Being the first point of contact for clients, potential clients and stakeholders and directing enquiries.
Managing client case progression in line with referrals, court orders or agreements. Undertaking reviews,
Being the first point of contact for the family support team across the usual working week, including being part of the on-call telephone rota.
Providing team and 1-2-1 supervision and identifying training and performance needs and delivering those alongside the senior leadership team.
Ensuring service standards are adhered to at all times and highlighting areas for improvement to the senior leadership team.
This role is a blend between managing the team, clients and the organisational aspect of the service. If that's in your skill set, please get in touch!
Another part of this particular role is to support and undertake observations of the team so sometimes you will need to step out of the office and into the community with the team and families we support. Often this is out in the community (think shopping, parks, soft play, bowling alleys, cinemas, theatres or the local beach!) but sometimes we use community venues like children's centres, schools, community centres or child and family hubs which are dotted across the service area.
We offer great rates of pay, flexibility, support and an opportunity to make a real difference and be part of helping us move forward! Experience of social care, health care or similar helps to show us you have the right values, but we need someone in this exciting new role to assist the case managers and director in pushing the organisation forward and keeping on top of the workload which is continuously growing.
We pride ourself on being maintaining boundaries, being warm and friendly but robust enough when needed. You need to feel comfortable with all of those and be committed to our expectations. We don't get over-involved, we don't over-complicate things but we are consistent and professional and that's why our reputation keeps growing and so does our team!
You'll need an enhanced DBS which we can support you with.
A reliable vehicle is essential as public transport isn't suitable. Milage is paid, and so is your time so don't fret about the fuel bill.
You'll need to know your way around the usual Microsoft IT packages such as Teams, Outlook and so on. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential!
You must be good at self motivation and meeting deadlines - if that is not your bag, this is not the role for you!
