G&P Healthcare are a double award-winning home healthcare company, and we are looking for new staff members to care for a 6 year old boy with complex care needs at home, when they go to school, during school and when they go out. 12 months previous care experience is essential

You MUST be a car driver/owner.

Clear DBS is required.

The ability to learn new complex skills.

Our client is a young boy who always needs a 1 to 1 with him to provide medical interventions when needed. He is a very loving child with complex medical needs, he has a tracheostomy and suffers with epilepsy, he also requires assistance with all day-to-day activities and personal care.

We are looking for a healthcare assistant who will work on a flexible rota that suits them and our client. This may involve:

- Looking after him at home during the evenings, weekends, or days when he is not well enough to go to school

- Going out with him and his family

- Attending school with him

- Attending hospital appointments with him

Full training for all aspects of his care will be given with 24 hour support from our nurses and senior staff.

Complex care training will be given by one of our nurses, to meet the needs of each individual client. You will learn lots of new skills and gain experience in complex care such as:

- Nasal and Oral Suctioning

- Oxygen Administration

- Chest Management

- Gastrostomy Care (PEG Feeding)

- Moving and Handling

- Medication Administration

- Long term ventilation

- Tracheostomy care

- Seizure management
