Registered Manager position open for Motherwell Care Ltd Ofsted Children Home based in Birmingham!!



We are actively looking for a dedicated Registered Manager for our new EBD children's home in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will ensure that our SOP - ethos and values of the company is promoted to the children, staff members and other stakeholders. This will be at the core of our service delivery

Criteria for the Registered Manager:



Worked for at least 2 years in a Children's home within the last 5 years Obtained Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification). OR obtained Level 4 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification). Worked for at least one year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role Experience of working with children with EBD in a residential setting Ability to work Full-Time, in a Permanent position Full UK Driving Licence

Main Duties:



The Ofsted Registered Manager will provide a warm, safe, homely environment for children to live or stay, that will be fully compliant with the Children's home regulations 2015 and the Children's Act 2004 and will ensure that children are given the highest levels of support to aim high and achieve their goals Guide and support a team of staff and partners to ensure that the individual assessed needs of children are met despite any challenges Keeping abreast of changing practice and issues at both National and local level to ensure that the service can provide the best level of support whilst considering and managing resources effectively, dealing with complex issues and managing risk Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the service, managing the premises and staffing in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Children's Home Regulations, policies and procedures Manage a children's home ensuring an excellent standard of care and in accordance with relevant legislation, procedures, policies and 'Statement of Purpose' for the home Deliver comprehensive staff training & development programme to enable staff to provide the necessary skills and expertise to meet the needs of children and perform their role

Leadership Ability to display decisiveness and evidence of developing the skills of a staff team Direct experience of team leadership, facilitation and supervision Have the ability to communicate effectively, build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders Proficient in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs Achievement and outcome oriented concerned with improving the service and maintaining high standards Planning, Organisation and Administration skills Able to manage own time and paperwork effectively to meet goals Evidence of providing individuals with confidence, inspiration, direction and guidance Able to create solutions in response to challenges whilst working within agreed parameters
