Children/Manual Handling Training Officer, within a diverse vibrant service, which is looking to recruit a dynamic trainer keen to take the opportunity to develop with the service, with further training and development opportunities available for the right individual to fulfil the role.


The successful candidate will work closely with Education as a key stakeholder, to deliver children and manual handling training, competency assessments, provide advice and guidance and general associated administrative work to support mainstream and special school settings.


The principal duties of the post are to deliver Children/Manual Handling Training, plan and undertake competency assessments on staff, to ensure competencies and safe practice are maintained to ensure pupil and staff safety.


To successfully fulfil this role, within a culturally diverse forward-thinking organisation, high levels of communication, technological and interpersonal skills are essential, with a preexisting recognised qualification in H&S/Training desirable. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside the H&S Operations Unit to assist further in personal development, and contribute towards the attainment of corporate objectives, whilst being directly line managed by the Lead Health & Safety Training Officer.
