Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential assistance to children in a caring environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting the developmental and emotional needs of children, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and empowered. Duties



Assist children with daily activities, including personal care and mobility support Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with families and professionals Support children during educational and recreational activities to promote social inclusion and development Maintain clear and effective communication with children, families, and team members Drive children to appointments, activities, or outings as required, ensuring safety at all times Monitor and record progress, behaviour, and any concerns in accordance with organisational policies Use IT systems to update records, manage schedules, and communicate with colleagues effectively Foster a nurturing environment that encourages independence and confidence among children. Preferably with NVQ level 3

Experience



Previous experience working with children in a childcare or support setting is highly desirable Knowledge of child development principles and childcare best practices Experience with creating or following care plans tailored to individual needs Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams Driving experience with a valid licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of children Familiarity with IT tools such as Microsoft Office or specialised care management software is advantageous

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 24,420.00-30,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
