The Children Short Breaks position is designed to provide essential support and care for children with varying needs, allowing their families a much-needed respite. This role involves engaging children in fun and educational activities while ensuring their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, patient, and dedicated to creating a positive environment for children.
Duties
Supervise and engage children during short breaks, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction.
Monitor children's behavior and address any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
Maintain open communication with families regarding their child's experience during breaks.
Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment focused on the well-being of the children.
Keep records of attendance, incidents, and any relevant observations regarding each child's progress.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with children and their families.
Patience and empathy to understand the unique needs of each child.
Ability to create engaging activities that cater to various interests and developmental levels.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, families, and team members.
