Shifts:

9am to 9pm or 9pm to 9am

(waking night 9am to 4am sleep in 4am to 8am)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals, particularly children, in their daily activities. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in your care, ensuring their needs are met with empathy and professionalism.

We also have openings for Support Workers for Day Staff and Night Staff

Your key responsibilities will include:



Building positive and trusting relationships with young people. Supporting them with daily routines such as cooking, appointments, school/college, and activities. Encouraging independence by helping them develop life skills (budgeting, cooking, self-care). Being a role model--promoting positive behaviour, respect, and resilience. Keeping accurate records and working closely with the team to ensure the best possible care. Handling challenging situations calmly and with empathy, always keeping safeguarding at the centre of your work.

Skills



Experience working with children is essential; previous childcare experience is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children and their families. Proficiency in IT to maintain records and communicate via digital platforms. Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 18,460.20-30,399.52 per year

Expected hours: 24 per week

Mitcham CR4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
