We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support to children in a community setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting children with their daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall well-being. Responsibilities
Assist children with daily routines, activities, in accordance with individual care plans
Support children during educational, recreational, and social activities to promote development and independence
Maintain clear and effective communication with children, families, and colleagues to ensure consistent care delivery
Drive children safely to appointments, activities, or outings as required
Monitor and record progress or concerns related to each child's wellbeing and behaviour
Follow organisational policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment at all times
Contribute to the development and review of personalised care plans in collaboration with other professionals
Utilise IT systems for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes
Qualifications
Experience working with children in a childcare or support setting is preferred
Valid driving licence with the ability to drive children safely as needed
Knowledge of child development and childcare practices
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Competent in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a genuine interest in supporting children's needs
Job Types: Full-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
