Family Support Worker - Agency Bank Staff

Family Support Workers (Bank Staff) - Swansea Area
We are seeking caring and proactive Family Support Workers to join our Swansea-based agency bank team. This role involves working directly with children, young people (pre-birth to 18 years), and their families/carers both in family homes, the community, and children's residential homes. You will provide practical and emotional support, helping children and young people feel safe, supported, and empowered in all environments.Role Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on support to families in their homes and in children's residential settings, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Accompany families to hospital appointments, social services meetings, and other essential appointments. Deliver short-term, planned, and emergency support to promote children's safety and well-being. Work alongside residential care teams to provide consistent, child-centred care. Support and implement tailored safety and well-being plans for families and children. Promote positive outcomes for young people by providing stability, encouragement, and emotional reassurance. Maintain accurate written records and reports of all support provided.
Essential Requirements:
Minimum of 6 months' experience working with children and/or families
, ideally including experience in residential or family support services.City & Guilds Level 2 in Children's Care, Play, Learning and Development (or equivalent).
Social Care Wales registration for Children
.Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Must be registered with our agency to access bank shifts.Pay: 15.00 per hour
