Responsible Individual
to oversee and drive excellence across multiple children's residential homes.
About the Role:
As a Responsible Individual, you will be accountable for ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and operational efficiency across our children's homes. You will provide strategic oversight and leadership to Registered Managers, ensuring that services operate in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the effective governance and compliance of children's homes in line with
Ofsted
regulations and national care standards.
Provide leadership, oversight, and guidance to Registered Managers, supporting them to maintain high-quality, child-centered care.
Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are effectively implemented and adhered to.
Drive continuous improvement and best practices across all homes.
Oversee regulatory inspections and ensure homes achieve and maintain good or outstanding Ofsted ratings.
Manage budgets, resources, and staffing to maintain operational efficiency.
Work collaboratively with external stakeholders, including local authorities, social workers, and regulatory bodies.
Lead on staff development, training, and performance management to build a strong and motivated team.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven experience in a senior leadership role within children's residential services.
A strong understanding of
Ofsted
regulations, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Experience in managing budgets, resources, and compliance.
