What You'll Be Doing
As Deputy Manager, you'll work closely with the Registered Manager to:
Lead and inspire a team of Childcare Practitioners.
Champion the wellbeing, safety, and development of every child.
Ensure the home runs smoothly--day-to-day operations, care planning, managing team and rosters, admin, compliance, and being Ofsted ready.
Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and partner agencies.
Role-model therapeutic care practices, such as PACE, play therapy, and trauma-informed approaches.
Act as a key decision-maker in crisis situations and offer support when it matters most.
What We're Looking For
Experience:
At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role in residential childcare.
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3/4 in Children, Young People & Families Practitioner (or equivalent).
Knowledge:
Strong grasp of Ofsted regulations, Quality Standards & safeguarding protocols.
Skills:
Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal English; organised, with good IT skills.
Approach:
Resilient, inclusive, reflective, emotionally intelligent and team-focused.
Location:
Based in Bournemouth, Head Office in Ringwood; a valid UK driving licence is required.
