Job Overview



Key Responsibilities

? Assist the Registered Manager in the overall leadership and management of

the home.

? Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations

2015, and Quality Standards.

? Lead, supervise, and develop staff, ensuring a positive and supportive

working environment.

? Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management

strategies.

? Promote the welfare, safety, and independence of all children in the home.

? Take responsibility for the home in the absence of the Registered Manager.

? Support with recruitment, training, and ongoing staff development.

? Build and maintain effective relationships with children, families,

professionals, and external agencies.

? Ensure accurate record-keeping, reporting, and administration in line with

policies and procedures.

Requirements

? Previous experience working in a children's residential setting

(minimum 2 years).

? Experience in a supervisory or senior role within a residential childcare

environment.

? Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential.

? Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare

- or willingness to work towards.

? Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and regulatory

standards.

? Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

? Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.

? Full UK driving licence - desirable.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the overall management of our programs, particularly those focused on individuals with developmental disabilities. The Deputy Manager will play a key role in program development, relationship management, and supervising staff to ensure the highest quality of service delivery.

Responsibilities



Assist in the management and oversight of programs serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Develop and implement effective program strategies to enhance service delivery. Foster strong relationships with clients, families, and community partners to promote collaboration and support. Supervise staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to best practices in care and service delivery. Manage administrative tasks related to program operations, including documentation and reporting requirements. Participate in budgeting processes to ensure financial accountability within programs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address behavioral health needs and promote positive outcomes for clients.

Experience



Proven experience in management or supervisory roles within social services or related fields. Strong background in program development and management, particularly for services aimed at individuals with developmental disabilities. Experience working directly with people with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Demonstrated skills in relationship management, fostering partnerships that enhance service delivery. Administrative experience that includes budgeting and compliance oversight is preferred. Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices is a plus.
