At Unified Care Services we are looking for a Deputy Home Manager to join our new residential home based in Redcar. We are looking for someone that will support the home manager in leading and managing the children's home according to the ethos and approach of the organisation. Our young people have a variety of complex needs and we need someone that's truly passionate about supporting vulnerable young people.

As the Deputy Home Manager you will be responsible for
Ensuring that safeguarding in the highest priority
Ensuring that all legislation, policies and procedures are followed to the highest standards
Managing spending and budgets
Ensuring that all shift handovers, debriefs and records are inline with best practice standards
Ensuring the teamwork meets the needs of children from diverse backgrounds under the legislation, policy, and best practice standards
Ensuring children access services that meet their education, social, emotional, mental health, and well-being needs.
Planning and delivering the service and its programs to meet the needs of children.
Planning the rota and shift presence to ensure the needs of children are being met.
Ensuring that all shifts are led by a Team Leader/Senior and are gender, skills, experience, qualified and culturally balanced.
Guiding the team to ensure service delivery.
Ensuring a social inclusion focus is embedded within services.
Taking part in on-call arrangements.
Ensuring that Care Reviews Reports are prepared in advance and that Children are prepared and supported during the review process.
About you:
You'll have strong experience working in a supervisory role within a Children's residential setting.
You will have a knowledge and understanding of the legislation surrounding children's homes
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, Young People's Services; or equivalent is a must
Be willing to attain a qualification of at least or equivalent to Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social care for Children and Young People.
A full UK drivers' licence.
